Create Moments/Experience Life

I revisited this old post I made of Create Moments/engage with the world. Today I do not feel like going to this concert. It will be very cold, and I just want to stay in my warm home. But as I reflected on it, I felt it was important for me to go, and create a moment/make an experience.

Mundane days and normal routine days are not memorable, there aren’t lessons learned. There is no room to grow. But getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing life is what sticks to your memory. Going to the concert and spending time with loved ones is a great experience. It is something fun to look back on. The cold weather is unfortunate, but I can bare through it. Being a bit uncomfortable is part of life, and we should walk into it, rather than avoid it. We should step outside the confines of our normal lives and live a little.

If I try to look back on my daily work week routine. I won’t remember much. Although comfort is nice. It is a bit boring and forgettable. These moments outside your normal routine are what sticks. I like to look back at more moments that stick. Monday through Thursday will be days I will forget, but this Friday will be a day to remember. What will happen? An adventure, a challenge, a fun experience? Who knows, but it will be an experience. It is cold, and I like to make any excuse to stay home, but I won’t. I like to live and experience life.

Mindful Time/Mind Cleansing

I just sit here, listening to the rain sounds, looking outside the window, the barren trees, the birds flying, the cloudy skies. I look at my plants surrounding my space. I take deep breaths. I am immersing myself in the moment. There is a sense of appreciation. I have risen another day.

The morning time is my absolute favorite time of the day, for others it is the afternoon or evening, but for me I thrive in the morning, this is when my mind is the most active and alive. This is the easiest time for me to be mindful and present.

I use the first couple hours of my day, after I wake up to be present and mindful. I tend to my plants, I do yoga, I meditate, I pull some tarot & oracle cards for myself, and then I read. This allows my mind to cleanse. This brings me peace. This allows me to find peace, before the business of the day consumes me.

I try not to fill my mind with negativity and nonsense as I wake up. I allow my own thoughts and opinions to have a say first. I don’t want to be clouded by the outside world just yet. Giving myself a little me time. Putting the focus on myself first. We should all try to have a bit of me time throughout the day, if you can, especially when your mind is the most active. This sets my day up very well. Have a mindful day everyone, much love.

Mindful Message

Try not to focus on the negative headlines you see, rather focus on how nice and sunny it is outside, or the nice warm home you are living in, or that you have the ability to use your five senses in the world. Train your mind to focus on what you have, and what is good in the world. Focusing on the negative does nothing for you. There is nothing you can do about the negative aspects of the world. But if you look towards the positive and beauty. Peace and joy will enter your life. Choose the path that makes your life more peaceful. Life is already difficult. Make it easier on yourself, and put your mind to good use. Be an inspiration. Be productive. Be proactive. Be creative.

January Guidance

Some things to focus or be aware of this month.

A month of investment. Invest in family. Invest in the future. Focus on getting your needs met. This month we may struggle to tend to ourselves and love ourselves. We got to learn to take care of ourselves, so that we can tend to others.  You may struggle to support others and give them attention, that can be due to not being able to care for ourselves. You may feel disconnected from others. Relationships may struggle. This month may be a time to work through your relationships with others. Work on miscommunications. Figure out if this person is right for you. Self-love and bonding are important for this month.

It is time to be more focused, logical and rational. Look at seeing things for what it is. Be strategic, build structure.  Work on fixing the problems in your life, rather than wallowing. There will be disappointments. You may feel down in the dumps. You may feel the need to disconnect. There could be a sense of apathy, and not caring for life and the people in it. Maybe disconnection is what you need, so you can work through your emotions. It may be the month to take control of your life, be the owner of your life. You may not be able to control everything in life, but you can work on the things you can control.

There are our delusions and there is the truth, time to seek the truth of the situation. Every challenge is a lesson learned. It isn’t fun to have challenges in life, but it is a disservice to us not to take something from the situation and make changes. This is a month of getting your material needs met, but also learning to declutter anything that isn’t worth much to you. Own what you value. Keep what you value.

This is also a month of love and appreciation. Work on self-love and work on loving others you hold dear. There are opportunities and possibilities out there for you this month. Find it and take it. It is a new year, so time to switch things up and change your perspective on things. It may also help to work with others. If you have a job that requires that, this is a great time to work on team chemistry. Although you may be great at your job, the help of others can be beneficial.

Make Something Out of Challenges in Life

I recently experience a difficult situation. I have thankfully moved past it, but at the time it was hard. After the experience, I really wanted to make something out of it, and learn from it. I think it is a wasted opportunity to not make changes, or make improvements when life hands you a challenge. Challenges are lessons to be learned.

I had to rearrange a lot of my stuff, because they had to fix our carpet. I realized I had too much stuff. This situation taught me things can easily be lost, or damage, so I decided I need to rid myself of things I had too much of. I have now decided to put a couple of things on my no buy list, this includes, clothes, books, tarot/oracle cards and notebooks. It made take a more minimalistic approach to things.  Collecting too many things is too much when it can easily be lost. Attachment does create suffering. I was stressed about all the things I could lose, but if I lessen all the things I have, the next time won’t be as stressful.

I think it is nice having less things. I can go through my clothes with so much more ease. It has pushed me to finally go to the library and rummage through all the collections of books they have there. This situation has given me an appreciation for what I have now. It also showed not to spend too much on things, but rather on experiences.

During the time I was away from home, while they were working on my house I came to this conclusion. I need to switch my mindset to how to take on this challenge? What can I do to improve my living situation? This is a test the universe and maybe my soul has given me. I see there being 4 stages. Resistance, depression, acceptance, then resilience, then learning. Take something out of a difficult situation, make something positive out of it. I am now in a better place, and I am much stronger for going through what I went through. The experience does suck, but the aftermath can benefit you in many ways.

Things That Cultivate Peace In Life

It is a stressful world out there, so it is important to find ways to bring peace into your life. Instead of increasing negative energy into your aura. Put that energy into cultivating positive energy. I will list a couple of things that have been helpful for me.

1.Let Go-This is a big one. Learning you cannot control others, or life situations is important for your peace of mind. Getting angry at how others behave won’t help you. Everyone does not think or act the same way, it is how it is. Move on and let go. It serves you no purpose to dwell on it.

2.Listen to calming music-There are plenty of Youtube videos on calming the mind, releasing negative energy, reducing anxiety etc,. The music can help put your mind at ease.

3.Journaling– One of my favorite things to do.It is nice to let your thoughts out. Venting can be therapeutic, but there isn’t always someone there to listen, so letting it out on paper can be helpful. It helps me bring peace to the situation. It also allows me to work through whatever struggles I have.

4.Do a hobby you enjoy-Immersing yourself in something you enjoy, and living in the moment. Allows one to forget the harsh realities of the world, or our struggles. You can just focus on the thing you enjoy. I get this sense when I do plant care, read, or color. I just live in the moment. Not focused on the time at all, or anything else really.

5.Go out in nature– I am sure this is mentioned a lot, but there is a reason for it. It is very refreshing and rejuvenating to be outdoors in nature. I have a sense of peace and energy after a walk outside.

6.Perspective taking- Learning to see things from another person’s perspective can help you live in peace. Your thoughts, ideals, values, or behaviors are different from most others. When you learn to understand others. You let go of judgment and criticism.

7. Deal with emotions-Allowing your emotions to be, rather than pushing them away, or fighting it can be helpful for your well being. Emotions are part of being human. Accept it for what it is, allow it to be, and it will eventually fade. Adding thoughts and storylines to the narrative will make it worse. You feel lonely, sad, angry, stressed, annoyed etc,. Feel it, let it be, move on. Peace will ensue.

8.Staying away from SNS– I just recently deleted Twitter. This has been wonderful for my peace of mind. I no longer have much need for validation, or have information overload. It allows me to just focus on myself and my thoughts.

You won’t be at peace 100 percent of the time, because that is unrealistic. These things help me be more at peace in general, not all the time. As long as you’re more at peace. That is what matters. Trying to bring more peace into your life is what matters. Just remember there will always be disturbances, it is how one grows and learns. It is part of our life journey.

Dealing With Disappointment

Life has its ups and downs. Things will not always go as expected. Expectations cultivate sadness, and disappointment when life doesn’t go as planned. Although articles mention the way to combat disappointment is to not have expectations. I find that a bit unrealistic, as expectations are part of our human nature.

What you can do is take on those feelings of sadness and disappointment, and be aware that these feelings will eventually fade. Emotions never last. Take it on as a lesson that life doesn’t always go according to your plans. There will be hiccups, but there can always be lessons to be learned from it. If you think others disappoint you, remember that it is coming from your expectations of them, not from them. No one owes you anything. It is normal to expect things, but one must be aware that life is ever changing and unpredictable. This can help one deal with disruptions along the way.

Fortitude of Life

I was channeled ‘Human existence is the fortitude of life.’ I had no clue what that meant, so had to Google fortitude, sorry didn’t know what that word meant.

The meaning building resilience through facing struggles, challenges and fears. So what that means is we are here on Earth to face these things for our souls growth. We are here to learn. As someone mentioned Earth school, that is what it is. In times of difficulties try to remember what can be learned by it and how one can build from it.

I wanted to write about this message, because I really liked it. I felt it was powerful, and needed to be spread to others. I felt it could be helpful.

Ego Keeps Us Stuck

I am reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. He talks a lot about the Ego. I wanted to discuss my thoughts on it. As I am going through my spiritual/personal journey. I recognize how powerful the ego is, and how it can keep us in a low vibrational state. When I meditate, and try to connect to a higher vibration. My thoughts(ego) keeps me from connecting to my higher self/guides. It tries to distract me. The ego=attachment. It keeps us attached to money, power, people, objects, thoughts, material things etc,. It can make us obsess over things, or people.

The ego can help keep us grounded in reality. I do believe we should enjoy and live life. Enjoy the things within it, but we shouldn’t get over consumed by it. There needs to be a balance. It is our goal to keep it in check, but it can be a tough challenge, even for myself. I think about the time I was in the car, and I was going to turn, and this other car was turning too, we almost hit each other. My first thought was “I was in the right.” I instantly realized what my ego was trying to do, it really likes to be right. What does it matter who was right!? We can both be right or wrong, or one was right or wrong, it doesn’t matter, it happened, and we both came out safe. The ego can trick us like that, but awareness can set you free from the confines of it.

The Ego creates obsessions to people, things, money, social media to keep us from higher learning, and looking deep into ourselves. The ego likes to constantly be entertained or distracted. It is quite difficult to sit in silence. It likes to fill our minds with thoughts, most of the time thoughts that push us down, rather than lift us up.The ego likes to trap us in reality. Although it can keep us grounded, it can also keep us stuck from our personal/spiritual growth.
